Heraklion Port Authority is the proud winner
of the  3RD edition of MedCruise Awards
during the celebration of the 25 Years Anniversary of MedCruise
in the topic “MedCruise Adaptation and Resilience Awards”

The Annual Award ceremony has been held online (virtual) today, Friday June 11th, 2021, during a joint event for celebrating the Silver Jubilee (25 Years Anniversary) of MedCruise. The Event is co-hosted by the Port Network Authority of Central-Northern Tyrrhenian Sea, which covers the birth-place of MedCruise, Civitavecchia/Rom.

MedCruise made the following short statement: “Congratulations to Heraklion Port Authority and personally to its CEO Mr. Minas Papadakis and his team of experts for their adaption and resilience building efforts, as well as for the support of the MedCruise family and Heraklion Port Authority contribution to advancing cruising in the Mediterranean and its adjoining seas.”

The CEO of Heraklion Port Authority, Mr. Minas Papadakis, who received online the Award on behalf of HPO commented as follows: “I am honored to receive this Award from MedCruise. This special recognition of Heraklion Port, the Shipping Capital of Crete, in challenging times, where the world is still facing a major, global health crisis, is a further distinction for our Administration and acknowledgement of its tireless efforts in the cruise resumption in the East Med and the successful design and implementation of strict hygiene and safety protocols, protecting Safety of Cruise Passengers and employees. We are committed to continue all our efforts towards developing quality and sustainable tourism and cruise business in Crete and the East Med and look further to working closely together with MedCruise.”
